About Islandflicks

Visual stories, whether it’s photo or video.

Islandflicks is an independent photography and videography brand built around the power of visual storytelling.

I’m Nilshan, a photographer and videographer creating thoughtful, visually driven work across portraits, events, weddings, brands and content-led marketing. Whether it’s a photograph that captures a feeling or a film that brings a moment to life, my aim is to create visuals that feel authentic, distinctive and memorable.

My approach combines natural moments with a considered creative style. I focus on the details, the atmosphere and the stories behind the subject, creating photography and video that go beyond simply documenting a moment — visuals that connect with people and communicate something meaningful.

From personal portraits and wedding stories to live events, brand campaigns and social media content, every project is an opportunity to tell a story in its own way. I work closely with each client to understand their vision and create imagery that reflects their personality, purpose or brand.

Based in Plymouth, UK, I work with individuals, couples, businesses and organisations across the UK, bringing ideas to life through photography and videography.
